This Privacy Policy describes how VolumeMixer ("the App") handles your information. The short version: VolumeMixer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
VolumeMixer collects no data. The App contains no analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting services, no advertising frameworks, and no user accounts. It makes no network connections.
To adjust the volume of individual applications, VolumeMixer uses macOS's system audio capture capability (the CoreAudio Process Tap API). This requires the "Audio Recording" permission, which macOS asks you to grant.
Audio is processed in real time, entirely on your Mac, and exclusively for the purpose of adjusting playback volume. It is never recorded, saved to disk, analyzed, or transmitted anywhere. Applications playing at full volume are not touched at all.
Your per-app volume and mute preferences are stored locally on your Mac using macOS's standard preferences system (UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the App and its preferences.

Since no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
